Day Forty Six

Claire is wearing a pair of wooden triangle earrings [present form Barcelona], thin gold chain [charity shop], brown, beige and blue shirt with animals on [charity shop], black skater skirt [Topshop], black tights [Spanish hosiery shop], grey leopard print thermal socks [George at Asda] and tan leather boots [Topshop].
Covadonga is wearing a red edged jungle and animal print scarf [Spanish charity shop].

Today we're off on an adventure! To the jungle! On safari in the plains! Or most likely off to school.
My shirt has a variety of  African animals on it, so I've dubbed it my safari shirt! There's wildebeests, leopards, cheetahs, lions, zebras and elephants. In such beigey, yellowy and bluey tones as well. The muted colours work well with the print, so it doesn't look garish, but on the downside, to someone with poor eyesight, like me, it could look like a stained brown top from afar.
I'm always a little dubious about short sleeves on shirts, I feel it's very school like or work like. However, I'm feeling the summery, hot, safari vibe in these sleeves today, and there's even some real sun to enjoy!
I'm keeping in tune with the animal prints and showing off my thermal socks today, the grey compliments the other muted colours well and it adds some interest in my ankle area. You may have noticed I like showing off my socks, but the subtle colours and patterns are great for adding an extra print without going too wild. I also think it's quite edgeh to show some sock; I've spent so long trying to hide them in my shoes and boots, that it's actually making my life easier. One less lion (problem) to tame in the morning.
