Day Forty Five

Claire is wearing a pear necklace [charity shop], short blue turtle patterned dress [charity shop], black leggings [Primark], zebra print thermal socks [George at Asda] and tan leather boots [Topshop].
Covadonga is wearing a blue flowered boxy top [charity shop].

Today is sunny, so I'm wearing a short, summery dress! With leggings though, and thermal socks, a the forecast says snow soon...
I haven't worn this in ages, and I have been reminded why. It's a shift shapes with a zip at the back and as it's clingy on the bottom, it has a tendency to ride up. This is fine logistically as I have leggings on, but it does scrunch the turtle up a little. The shift shape is still pleasing though, nice scoop neckline which keeps me covered and shows some shoulder! And, I mean it's fine sitting down.
The colour is quite cheerful and I love the turtles! Although one on the back is sadly cut off by the zip. Turtle print is definitely underrated.
My pear is ever present and I'm clashing my socks today. I think simple monochrome prints can clash nicely with most things without it getting messy and looking like there's a print war erupting on you. Also socks are good way to get into this quietly!
