Day Forty Four

Claire is wearing a navy, green and yellow tartan nightshirt (worn as dress) [St Michael, from a charity shop], wide ox-blood leather woven [charity shop], black leggings [Primark], grey thermal socks [George at Asda] and  tan leather boots [Topshop].
Covadonga is wearing a blue, pink and purple tartan scarf [gift, from Edinburgh Woollen Mill].

Today is a tartan day. It's also got some highly changeable weather thrown in for good measure (we've had snow followed by sun already!)
My dress is a find from an Edinburgh charity shop, it's my piece of souvenir tartan from Scotland! It originally had a ripped slit on the side, presumably so it could be used a night gown. I did sleep in it a few times, looking like a bizarre Jane Austen character padding around the hallway at night. Then I took it home, and my Mum did what mums do best. She fixed it, without me realizing it! So now I have a long dress! It's nice and cosy, yet breathable as it's cotton.
It fits well, and it's lasted this long. Thanks to my invented 'St Michael guarantee', my favorite vintage brand reigns strong.
I really like the pattern too. I feel a lot of things can go with dark tartan, other patterns too! I think red, leopard print and stripes go quite well.
Go and experiment stylish ones, mix it up a bit!
