Day One Hundred and Five

Claire is wearing a a white scarf with ladybirds [Spanish charity shop], thin grey jumper with silver stars on [H&M, from a jumble sale], thin denim trousers [charity shop], black thermal socks [George at Asda] and tan leather boots [Topshop].
Covadonga is wearing a blue marl cotton sweater [jumble sale].

I'm having a quiet, tired day today. Just looking cute and chilling out, like 'the girl next door'. A phrase, which I've never really understood the origin of and sometimes the phrase itself. I look a bit cute with my starred jumper, another jumble sale find, with its skinny long sleeves and flattering length.
I didn't even style my hair, it messily settled itself into this mop, and I have crowned it with some ladybirds. Ladybirds are also quite cute, and although I generally mistrust things coloured in red, black and white, I like this insect in this moderate pattern.
As there's lots of base colours going on, it all ties in nicely with some highlights like my scarf. The stars are are quite neutral as a pattern, in a small size, and as they're metallic, they go with everything. It's like jewelry and shiny objects, you can wear them with all the colours because they are a glimmering, sparkling class of their own!
