Today's accessory theme is pearls; the fruit of the oyster is choice today!
I've never been a big fan of pearls, maybe it's that they're quite lady-like, and so rounded and perfect, they're just white spheres. I swiftly moved on to sparkly things and left pearls to others. However, I'm coming round to them now! They look great with other jewels because they're plain, yet luminous; in my earring peacocks they frame the bejewled bird wonderfully. I've also realised that the boring-ness I originally saw is in fact versatility! They go with anything! And these are teardrop which pleases me; there's something great about teardrop shapes, not quite sure what it is... Magic?
Finally, I bought these shorts this week. I had a faded light blue denim pair, but trying them on outside of the confines of the vintage fair at which I bought them seemed to shrink them. I would not have been able to eat anything in them without fear of blinding someone when the zip burst off. Then I found these with an elasticated waistband. In powder blue, with pockets. They're kind of grandma, but kind of cute. They're comfortable, which is all that really matters!
