Day One Hundred and Thirty Seven

Claire is wearing a a straw hat covered in black and white petaled flowers and leaves [charity shop], long red dress with black and white flowers [Leeds Vintage Kilo Sale], grey leopard print thermal socks [George at Asda] and tan leather boots [Topshop].
Covadonga is wearing a a red poppy flower garland [Topshop].

I celebrated my degree-freedom so much yesterday I genuinely forgot to write about this hat! So here is a belated (with good reason) post!
The hat has divided opinions, I say 'divided' in a loose sense in that no-one else really liked it and thought it was a bit hideous. The harshest criticism has to be describing it as the product of de-feathered penguin. It's lots of monochrome flowers on the sides of a tall, black and white straw hat, with black leaves on the brim and small white flowers with pearls on the end of bendy white wire out of them. It is not a quiet hat for the faint-hearted! I felt more confident wearing it than the lilac number earlier this week though, I think it's because I feel like Dionne from Clueless. And she's pretty ace!
Also middle-aged women love this thing! The woman at the market stall where I bought my reduced-price Muppet sticker book complimented me, ditto the lady who served me in Wilkos. I finally got to stroke the dog, Angel (!!!), who gets on the bus outside school when I do, because her owner liked my hat and told me not listen to everyone who didn't like it and said I should wear what I want!
After all, she is the owner of an angel!
