Day Seventy Six

Claire is wearing a small gold chain with a ball in a cage charm [charity shop], cropped dark green cardigan with small orange flowers on [Spanish charity shop], off-white men's t-shirt [Primark], thin denim trousers [charity shop], zebra-print thermal socks [George at Asda] and tan leather boots [Topshop].
Covdaonga is wearing a reversible purple and turquoise loose top [charity shop].

Today we welcome a change of scene! I am residing at home for a week, and as blog waits for no woman, we will be welcoming days 76 to 82 in my other room. This should in theory signal some new items to appear as well...
However, I was rushing this morning and this first thing I grabbed to clothe myself in was a t-shirt identical to one I already own in Leeds (I was following one of those rules whereby if you like it, buy it at least twice because usually when you find something you like, they'll modify or stop making it). Panic or flustered dressing (flustressing?) always has most people reaching for old favourites, the comfortable familiar items. I mean, they've become tried and tested for a reason so there must be good points about said garment.
Except sometimes the garment breaks before your morning willpower does. My bootlace tore in half today, I have been expecting it but it was still a shock. I had no replacement so had to diagonally tie my lace across the eyelets. It held, just.
Moral of this morning's dressing:be prepared, lay things out the night before even!
Although, I'm proud to say my small bolero cardigan looks brightly optimistic, even if the weather and my start to the day wasn't.
