Claire is wearing a men's pink t-shirt [Primark], men's pink, moss green, blue and cream woven shirt [French Connection, from a jumble sale], black leggings [Primark], grey thermal socks [George at Asda] and tan leather boots [Topshop].

I love men's clothing! Men may not have the sheer choice of clothing, in regards to materials, prints, designs and colours, but they have comfier clothing. Men's t-shirts are fantastic: they make you feel smaller, they're usually cotton based (as opposed to women's which usually have some kind of stretch fibre in them to 'fit your body better'), they're longer, which is great if you have a long body and want a top that covers your kidneys and there's none of this tight sleeve business, which my preoccupation with sweat glands sits well with as my underarms need room to breathe! They're great, as are men's shirts; even better wear the two together!
The only downside is the colour palette afforded to men's clothing. Today's t-shirt was purchased after a severe craving for a pink top. Apart from a dark berry, this lilacy pink was the only one there, but while perusing the women's section there was a vest close to the shade I really wanted. But the vest was rather hideously cut and exposing so I got the top instead. Colour frustration aside, it is pink and it is comfy.
Pink is a great, sadly underrated, colour and if you don't want to channel your inner Barbie too much, pairing it with muted colours or with something which has pink within it's pattern (tick and tick today) is much less doll-tastic.
Finally, if you have to embrace a childhood character, let it be Micky Mouse! Buns are easy to do (make bunches, twist and pin) and two is a little more edgeh and fun than one!
